Grief and anxiety go hand in hand. We can feel that something is wrong long before we can understand what is wrong. But we cannot fix something that we don’t understand. Unresolved grief is felt as an anxiety.

Grief is an evolving pain. We need to discover how to carry the pain well as our grief changes. Our unique experience can isolate us, and we can become lost in our silent sorrow. Sharing experiences and approaches for remembering loved ones and rediscovering ourselves helps us and others navigate through loss.
This meeting is for friends and family who have lost loved ones through substance use. Many grief support groups lack experience in our form of loss and cannot truly understand us.
Tom Flanagan will facilitate along with occasional guest co-facilitators at 7:00 PM on every Tuesday [CHECK calendar for possible cancelations]. We will meet in the private conference room of the East Bay Recovery Center at 31 Railroad Avenue in Warren, RI. If the group decides that it would like to schedule more frequent meetings, we will find a way.
