Rhode Island Labyrinth Day

Whereas May 2, 2026, is World Labyrinth Day, an international celebration of an ancient tradition that continues to meet contemporary needs for rituals of self-care supporting physical, spiritual, and behavioral health; and

Whereas civic, social, and personal stresses have given rise across the nation to epidemics of anxiety, loneliness, grief, depression, and environmental detachment; and

Whereas more than two dozen walking meditation labyrinths exist across the Ocean State, offering welcoming public spaces for reflection, mindfulness, and community and environmental connection: therefore … 

We ask you, please, to join us on the first Saturday in May … Rhode Island Labyrinth Day … and visit a labyrinth to enjoy a reflective “Wave of Peace,” to “Walk as One” with labyrinth walkers across the globe at 1:00 pm local time, and to experience the benefits of this peaceful practice.
